Tessa Parry-Wingfield spent a decade as a broadcast journalist, reporting, producing and writing for Al Jazeera and ITN and the commercial arms of Reuters and Press Association. She loved every minute of covering the world’s most pressing issues.

In those newsrooms, she also learnt something that has shaped her career ever since: when the stakes are high, clear and courageous communications always win. Especially, in a distrustful AI world.

As Founder and CEO of The Power of Words, a global communications consultancy, Tessa has advised C-suites and senior communications leaders across Europe and the MENA region for 15 years. Often during high pressure scenarios.

A personal communications crisis…

Then her own personal crisis arrived. A rare eye cancer diagnosis. Two weeks’ notice to surgery and the loss of her left eye. And the task of communicating the unimaginable to her daughters.

That experience – bringing together all her career specialisms – led to The Seeing Clearly™ Method. The approach she now brings to stages, leadership teams and women in business.
